David P. Evans is a Yale-trained corporate and commercial transactional lawyer focused on the media, technology, and entertainment industries. He advises premier companies on complex corporate, commercial, and intellectual property transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and equity investments, and provides counsel on general corporate matters.
His experience includes mergers and acquisitions involving large media and entertainment companies; investments in media and entertainment companies by private equity firms and high-net-worth individuals; and the acquisition, sale, and licensing of large libraries of feature films, television programming, and episodic streaming content.
He began his legal career as an M&A and corporate finance lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City and has also practiced at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles.
David is a graduate of Dartmouth College, the Yale Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, and Yale Law School. Before law school, he worked on economic, technology, and trade policy as a U.S. Senate staffer in Washington, D.C.
David splits his time between Los Angeles and New York City and is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
